Briefing 10:00 am, start 11:00 am at Chapel Beach, Saturday and Sunday 28/29 June will see the popular Queenie Festival Marine weekend return to Port St Mary. Food, music, wildlife, games and loads of fun for all the family! There will be junior, 1/2 mile and 1 mile sea swim events open to wetsuit or non-wetsuit swimmers.
Placing: Places will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Male & Female, Junior, Novice & Senior, in Wetsuit and non-Wetsuit categories. Presentation will take place at the main Queenie Festival site following the event.
Routes & distances:
The distances provided are approximate distances ‘overland’ only. The actual routes for Junior and Senior events will be advised at the briefing prior to each swim with the route marked by a series of buoys or flagged boats to swim around. Failure to navigate round a buoy in the correct direction may result in disqualification. Entry fee: The entry fee covers the swim, temporary membership if not in BLDSA, timing chip rental and your swim hat.
Junior – 12yrs to less than16yrs on day: £12.00
Novice – 16yrs or over on day: £18.00
Senior – 16yrs or over on day: £18.00
