Details

We hold our annual dinner to celebrate the swim season, from all the great swims that people have completed to the members that give up their time freely to benefit of the association. We also recognise those performances and contributions each year through our awards. We hope you’ll join us for a evening of celebration and of course good food and drink!

Venue: The Humber Royal Hotel, Littlecoates Road, Grimsby, DN34 4LX

Our evening of celebrations will be followed by the Annual General Meeting, at 10am on Sunday 15th March at the same venue

The James Brennan Memorial Trophy

Presented for services to the Association. The trophy was donated to recognise the members of the BLDSA who have given noteworthy service to the Executive Committee or other administrative functions so essential to the smooth running of a growing association.

 

The Harry Moffatt Memorial Trophy
Presented for outstanding services on the water throughout the season. (Can be awarded to a group or team)

 

The Hans Belay Trophy
Presented to recognise an outstanding swim by a BLDSA member during the year as an individual effort or within a championship without receiving an award from that championship. (Can be awarded to a group or team)

 

The Fred Slater Trophy
Presented to the swimmer of the year in BLDSA events who has demonstrated outstanding effort throughout the season.

 

The Tom Butcher Trophy
Presented to the Junior swimmer of the year in BLDSA events who has demonstrated outstanding effort throughout the season.

 

The Elise Brook Encouragement and Perseverance Trophy
Presented to recognise an outstanding swim by a BLDSA member as a junior during the year as a individual effort or within a championship without receiving an award from that championship.

 

The Breaststroke Trophy
Presented to recognise the ability and dedication of any breaststroke swimmer during the season.

 

The Avril and Alan Mitchell Trophy
Presented to recognise the ability and dedication of a Veteran swimmer during the season.

 

William Keating Trophy
Awarded for an outstanding swim on Windermere in the season (minimum single length course, solo or relay by a member/members of the BLDSA).
