The British Long Distance Swimming Association (BLDSA) has been at the forefront of open water swimming since it was created in 1956. It organises a series of iconic swims in stunning locations around Britain ranging from 1km novice challenges to the epic 2-Way Windermere and length of Loch Lomond (21.6 miles) swims, and everything in between. As a membership organisation, the BLDSA provides a welcoming and supportive community and a clear path to developing your long distance swimming skills.

All the events are supported by a fully trained safety and first aid team with fast rescue/support boats, providing all swimmers with the safest possible environment for the enjoyment of swimming in some of the UK’s most beautiful locations.
